The Lowback Siesta Chair is a Scandiavian classic that will make you melt as soon as you sit. With this Norwegian easy chair design, plush leather cushions sit upon durable canvas. The canvas support provides just enough “give” to offer amazing comfort and support. The canvas is attached to the wood frame in a unique method that uses specialized rope. The curve of the Siesta Chair frame provides a slight reclining angle that makes you feel relaxed, but allows you to remain upright for visiting and reading.

About Ingmar Relling
Ingmar Relling (1920-2002) was a Norwegian designer known for his most successful creation: the Siesta Chair. Additionally, he created a number of other functional furniture designs during his long career. He started his career at Rastad & Relling design studio in 1947 before establishing his own studio in Sykkylven in 1950.
Today, he is considered as one of the greatest contributors to the golden era of Scandinavian Design. Simplicity, minimalism, elegance and uncompromising quality are key concepts in all of Relling’s designs.
The Siesta Chair earned Relling first prize at the Industry Council for Furniture as well as the Furnishing Industry Chair Competition. Throughout time, the Siesta Chair has been used in some of the most important settings, even in the White House. Today, the Siesta chair is recognized internationally and is considered a timeless and important Scandinavian design.
