Product Description

Elegant and timeless
The story started in 1971 when Sigurd Resell designed the chair, drawing great inspiration from the hammock. The chair’s hanging construction provides a nice movement and a unique seating comfort. Falcon First is the classic and original Falcon chair, recognized by its buttons.

Sigurd Resell had a solid carpentry education with him before he studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (1943–1947). He designed some of the post-war most shapely furniture and is known for his steel furniture. In 1970, the Industry Council invited to the furniture competition «A piece of furniture». Sigurd Resell received second prize for the Blankvals armchair. The chair, which was later named Falcon, which has become one of the most known Norwegian furniture icons.

The difference between this chair and the Falcon First, is this chair has no button tufting.

The Falcon Chair is available in multiple versions. See all of the variations, as well as available parts for the chair & ottoman, in the Siesta Chair Collection.
