Mother giraffe tenderly cares for her calf in Giraffe & A Half, a Motawi Tileworks ceramic tile. The tall giraffe stretches down to attend to her little one, as only a giraffe can. The design is based on the artwork of artist Charley Harper. Harper was an American Modernist (1922-2007) who was known for his geometrically stylized artwork.
The decorative tile is made by hand in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is a raised-line tile with small ridges that form the design and contain the glaze. Brilliant colors and precise details make Giraffe and a Half a true work of art. It is available in yellow or storm blue.
A notch is on the back of the tile for hanging. An optional easel is available, specifically designed to hold Motawi’s tiles.
