Product Description

The Unikko Kitchen Towel is made from 100% cotton. It features Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern in a solid blue, jacquard weave. A new look for the iconic pattern.

The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.

Care
Machine wash in warm to hot water separately, without bleach or fabric softener. Line dry. Shrinkage max is 6%. If needed, iron at high temperature. Dry cleaning is okay, using any solvent except trichloroethylene.
