Product Description
The Unikko Guest Towel is made of cotton terrycloth. It features Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern in pink and red.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
