The Marimekko Unikko Pillow features their famous poppy pattern in cotton and spring yellow. The pillow cover is made of unbleached cotton sateen with a zipper on one side. A pillow insert is included.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is recognized as the symbol of Marimekko.
