The Pieni Unikko Pillow features Maija Isola’s poppy pattern printed in red, pink and white. A pillow insert is included.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
The pillow cover is sewn using the whole width of the fabric, so its pattern may vary slightly. Each item is unique.
