Product Description

The Marimekko Oven Mitten has a padded filling and a hanging loop. It is made of cotton fabric, printed in the Pieni Unikko pattern in black and white.

The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.

Wash in cold water and air dry. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Avoid using the product when it is damp, as this weakens its thermal insulation capacity.
