Product Description
The Marimekko Pieni Kukkaro Purse is made of cotton fabric with a retro-style metal clasp. It is printed in the Mini Unikko pattern in red, pink and white. Perfect for money, credit cards or toiletries.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
