The Marimekko Oiva Mini Plate features the Unikko pattern in spring yellow and white. Made of stoneware, the plate is dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is recognized as the symbol of Marimekko.
