The Oiva Unikko Mug features Marimekko’s iconic poppy pattern in red and brown. Made from durable stoneware, the mug is dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Eventually her opinion changed, and today this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
