The Map Flask pays tribute to Madison, Wisconsin with etchings of the city’s maps from the 1950s. The flask is made from stainless steel and covered with vegetable tanned leather. The leather is cut, beveled, etched and sealed, then cemented to the flask. From Tactile Craftworks, crafted by hand in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Tactile Craftworks is a woman-owned and operated leather crafting company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was founded in 2014 by Sarah Heck and Anna Warren. They met in a theater prop shop in 2008, where they collaborated on hand-crafted projects. Wanting to continue a shared aesthetic into a new project, Sarah and Anna began by selling their products at local fairs and farmers markets. In 2016 they made their transition to wholesale, and now partner with over 200 retailers nationwide.
