The Iittala Kastehelmi Tealight Candleholder was originally designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964. The votive creates a beautiful warm glow with a lit tealight inside. Toikka was attempting to find a way to hide join marks left in the production process by incorporating circles of delicate glass droplets in the design – Kastehelmi (“dewdrop” in Finnish) was born. For over fifty years the Kastehelmi line has been one of Iittala’s most iconic series.
