Introduced in 1946, the design of the Nelson Platform Bench® reflects the architectural background of designer George Nelson. Nelson felt strongly that furniture should be “honest” in its design, displaying its purpose and true materials. The simple lines of this piece create a striking effect. A practical multi-use piece, the Nelson Platform can serve as a coffee table, extra seating or a display surface. New to the collection is the Nelson Platform Bench in rich solid walnut wood, bringing new dimension to this classic piece of furniture.
The Nelson Platform bench is available in three lengths: 48″, 60″ and 72″. The top of the bench is solid walnut that has been sealed with a clear-coat finish. Wood legs are ebonized and finger-jointed for additional strength. Metal legs have a trivalent chrome finish.
