Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, these molded plastic chairs were first introduced at New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 1948. Utilizing molding techniques developed during WWII, the Eameses created the first manufactured plastic chairs. The Herman Miller® produced molded plastic chairs are based on the original Eames design and are made with updated, eco-friendly materials. The gentle curves of the chair create the perfect shape to cradle the body and deliver exceptional comfort.

This comfortable and classic chair model has a dowel base with arms. Choose from several solid wood finishes for the dowel legs. Also available without arms. Plastic seats are made of recyclable polypropylene. The Eames Molded Plastic Chairs are 100% recyclable.

This timeless Eames design’s most recent innovation is the addition of 100 percent post-industrial recycled plastic into the Eames Molded Plastic Chairs. The subtle matte texture of the material lends a soft tactility and notable durability.
