The Marimekko Oiva Unikko Deep Plate features their famous poppy pattern with a burgundy glaze. Made from white stoneware, it is dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
