Do you recognize the large black shape among the birch trees? The ceramic tile, Bear In The Birches, features a large black bear in a birch forest. The tile’s design was based on the artwork of Charley Harper.
The decorative tile is made by hand at Motawi Tileworks in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is a raised-line tile. Raised lines form the tile’s detailed design and contain its colorful glaze. Brilliant colors and precise details make this tile a true work of art.
The tile has a notch on the back for hanging. An optional easel is available to purchase. The easel is specifically designed to hold Motawi’s tiles.
