The Beach Birds Tile features a scene from “Charley Harper’s Animal Kingdom: A Portfolio of Prints”, originally titled “Strolling and Patrolling”. The scene depicts sanderlings combing the beach for seashells. Harper (1922 – 2007), an American Modernist, was known for featuring elements of nature in his artwork.
