The Unniko pattern decorates the Marimekko Neat Phone Pocket Bag in dark grey and black. Made from lightweight recycled polyester, it features an adjustable shoulder strap with a zipper closer.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is recognized as the symbol of Marimekko.
