Product Description

The Marimekko Unikko Bedspread is quilted. Made from unbleached cotton and recycled polyester, it is printed with Marimekko’s famous poppy pattern in linen and off white. The bedspread will fit a queen size bed.

The Unikko (poppy) pattern was created in 1964 by Maija Isola. Armi Ratia, Marimekko’s founder, initially forbid the design of floral patterns. Armi believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Her opinion changed, and the Unikko pattern has become Marimekko’s unofficial logo.

Care
Wash in cool water with like colors and air dry. Do not use bleach, and do not tumble dry or iron. Shrinkage maximum is 5%. Dry clean with any solvent except trichloroethylene.
