The Marimekko Bath Towel is made of organic cotton terry. It features the Unikko pattern in off white and sage. The pattern’s colors are reversed on the other side of the towel.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
