The Marimekko Pot Holder has a padded filling and a hanging loop. Its decorative fabric is made from 100% cotton, printed in the Pieni Unikko pattern in green, orange and cotton.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is recognized as the symbol of Marimekko.
