The Pieni Unikko Apron is made from 100% cotton. It has a front pocket, an adjustable neck strap, and two waist straps that can be tied together at the back.
The Marimekko apron is printed in the Pieni Unikko pattern in black and white. The iconic poppy pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. Armi Ratia, Marimekko’s founder, initially forbid the design of floral patterns. Armi believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Her opinion changed, and the Unikko pattern has become Marimekko’s unofficial logo.
