The Marimekko Everything Backpack S is made of recycled, jacquard knit polyester with leather details. It features the Unikko pattern in black and black.
The small backpack has a drawstring closure, and a front flap with a magnetic button and two front pockets with magnetic buttons. There is a Marimekko keychain on one side and a slip-in pocket on the back side, plus a slip-in pocket on the inside. The shoulder straps are adjustable.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
