The Marimekko All Day Bucket shoulder bag is made of recycled, jacquard knit polyester. It features the Unikko pattern in grey, light green and black.
The bag has three compartments: one with a zipper closure, one plain open compartment, and one open compartment with an inside pocket. It has a Marimekko keychain attached to the front, and a slip-in pocket that closes with a magnetic button on the back. The shoulder strap is adjustable.
The Unikko (poppy) pattern was designed in 1964 by Maija Isola. At that time, Marimekko’s founder Armi Ratia ruled out the design of floral patterns. She believed flowers were more beautiful in nature than on textiles. Over time, Ratia’s opinion changed. Today, this famous poppy is known as the symbol of Marimekko.
