Designed by Bror Boije for Swedese, this modern sofa is intended to be simple and unadorned, but it still has such a beauty to it. It’s one of our favorite small scale options for a sofa or loveseat. With a frame built of solid wood, this is a piece of modern furniture that will get passed down through the generations.
Choose beech (natural lacquer or stained) or oak for the wood plinth base and legs. A high resiliency foam seat and back will support you for years to come. Made in Sweden. Eco labeled with the Swedish Swan. Europost fabric carries the EU Ecolabel.
The Lazy can be ordered in a huge variety of fabrics and leathers. If you don’t see what you are looking for, contact us for more options.
About the designer:
Bror Boije is part of Swedish furniture history. His breakthrough came in the 1970s with his tubular steel armchair Wing. Since then he has designed furniture that has attracted a good deal of attention, some for international furniture producers and many for Swedese, of which some have become collectors’ items that are sold at auctions.
Bror Boije was born in 1942 in Gothenburg. During the early sixties he worked at Volvo’s design department. He soon worked as both a furniture designer and an interior decorator for the H&M shops amongst others and Sweden’s National Bank. More recently he has received a lot of attention for his catamaran-like house.
