The Kubb Game is a popular Swedish lawn game, thought to have originated over 1000 years ago. Legend has it the Vikings used to spend time playing the game during long summer evenings when the sun never set. It can be described as a combination of bowling, bocce and horseshoes.
The game is played in a small rectangular playing area, 16 by 26 feet. The purpose of the game is to knock over the wooden kubbs (blocks) by throwing wooden sticks at them. When a team knocks over all the kubbs, that team gets a chance to knock over the king. The game can continue for awhile, but the team that knocks over the king first is the winner of the game.
The Kubb Game, good for kids and adults, is super fun!
