Its whimsical design comprises 18 round, comfortable cushions that seem to float on the brushed tubular steel frame. The sofa’s unique appearance and eye-catching appeal led the way into the pop art style of the 1960s. This sofa was designed by George Nelson, one of Herman Miller’s productive designers. He designed several classic pieces for Herman Miller including the Nelson Platform Bench, Nelson Swag Leg Desk, and the Nelson Swag Leg Chair.
