The Swan Chair’s fluid curves are aptly named, creating a snug nook that encourages the body into an easy-going position. Created in 1958 by Arne Jacobsen, the Swan Chair was a part of Jacobsen’s proposal for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen where his holistic design philosophy was being implemented. Technologically advanced for its time, the chair is void of straight lines with only curves to exhibit, a shape that was refined in Jacobsen’s own garage. Ideal for a commercial lounge area or in the home as a reading and relaxing enabler.
A molded synthetic material serves as the skeleton for the chair and an cold-cured foam layer provides absolute comfort. Many leather and fabric upholstery options are available. The base is made of aluminum mounted on a 5 star satin polished steel pedestal. Choose from a standard swivel base or an automatic return base. The automatic return base ensures that your chair will be perfectly positioned whenever its not being used.
Many special order fabric and leather options are also available. Please contact us for more information!
