Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, these molded plastic chairs were first introduced at New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 1948. Utilizing molding techniques developed during WWII, the Eameses created the first manufactured plastic chairs. The Herman Miller® produced molded plastic chairs are based on the original Eames design and are made with updated, eco-friendly materials. The gentle curves of the chair create the perfect shape to cradle the body and deliver exceptional comfort.

This chair features the side chair seat with the iconic wire base. Customize this chair by choosing from a variety of plastic colors and metal finishes. Also available with arms. Plastic seats are made of recyclable polypropylene. Eames Molded Plastic Chairs are recyclable at the end of their usable life.
