A Gift like no Other…

For the couple that seems to already have everything, think about taking the indoors outside. With more people enjoying the beautiful weather, a picnic would be the perfect way for the newly weds to wind down. Picnic baskets with all the fixings for two are a quick and unique gift. If you feel like you know the couple’s style well enough a “picnic themed” gift works well, too: plastic place settings, a tablecloth (or blanket), and a nice tote imply outdoor picnic, but could also be used regularly indoors for a romantic night in.

Another way to avoid duplicates is to get them coordinating gifts for things they may already own. Matching glasses, tea towels, placemats and tins are simple little accessories that won’t overwhelm a kitchen, but add a decorative touch for a fresh look. If you are concerned with conflicting colors, try to find something neutral that will compliment other things they have. These are gifts that can be brought out during special occasions, or used everyday. Word to the wise, this approach is only recommended for close friends. If you don’t share a similar taste, your gift may coincidentally only come out when you come to visit.
