Womb Ottoman by Knoll

The iconic womb chair, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1948, has been featured in beautiful homes, advertisements and movies for over 60 years. Its smooth lines and soft curves surround the body when sitting in the chair, which creates the womb-like nature of the design.

Foam is placed over the structure of the womb ottoman, which is made of a strong molded plywood platform. The separate ottoman cushion is made of polyester fiber with a resilient foam core. The base is made of steel wire with a polished chrome or matte black powder-coat finish. Stainless steel and nylon articulating glides will help keep floors unscratched.

Classic boucle is a wool and nylon blend, creating a durable and resilient fabric. The rich, nubby texture of this fabric looks fabulous on the womb chair and creates a classic and timeless look.
