Secret Fish Box

This new family of objects by Alessi all started with the design of the “Chin Family” collection in 2007. The designer, Stegano Giovannoni was studying a collection of art works at the National Palace Museum in Taiwan when he became inspired to create the Secret Fish Box.

After looking at the millennial tradition of Chinese applied arts, Giovannoni decided to develop his own contemporary interpretation of them. These objects recall 18th century ceramic trinkets, while still being contemporary in form and material. Made of thermoplastic resin in saturated gem-toned colors.
