HermanMiller® Eames® Plastic Armchair (Wire Base)
Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, these molded plastic chairs were first introduced at New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1948. Utilizing molding techniques developed during WWII, the Eameses created the first manufactured plastic chairs. The Herman Miller produced molded plastic chairs are base on the original Eames design and are made with updated, eco-friendly materials. The gentle curves of the chair create the perfect shape to cradle the body and deliver exceptional comfort.
This model features the arm chair seat option with the iconic wire base. Chrome and black metal finishes are available for the wire base. Also available without arms. Choose from ten modern and fresh seat colors. Plastic seats are made of recyclable polypropylene. The Eames Molded Plastic chairs are 100% recyclable at the end of their usable life.
